BODY OF LIES [2008] review

I watched BODY OF LIES on the flight here from Japan.  I thought, “why in the world do we need another one of these spy movies?”  Can any be better than SYRIANA anyway?  Well, BODY OF LIES is not as good as SYRIANA, but it was a decent enough on the plane movie.

I always enjoy watching DiCaprio on screen.  He has done well to escape from Titanic.  He plays gritty very well, which he did even better in BLOOD DIAMOND.  If these guys could just avoid getting attached to girls in foreign countries, their lives would be 90% easier.  Alas DiCaprio ventures into an unwise relationship that is of course eventually used against him.  

Russell Crowe is an okay foil letting DiCaprio take all the risks while he pulls the strings from his back patio.
