Gene Kelly is absolutely charming in this movie and Debbie Reynolds as always delivers the darling of the movie. Since I haven’t seen the movie in a while I thought I’d rent it again through Blockbuster @ Home which sends the movie to me via mail. I know that this is a movie that won’t be in the kiosk and since it was just released on Blu-ray for the first time I’d have to buy it. My birthday is coming up, hint hint. : ) A Dish co-worker suggested it after not being able to find several movies she wanted to see a few months back. The real bonus here is Donald O’Connor who nicely rounds out the cast and really brings this musical together. He plays a good supporting role and let’s Gene take the lead without being in the background too much. Call me nostalgic but I really love this film!
